We woke up early and went down for breakfast. We knew later we were going for a big dinner so we each had a big breakfast and no lunch. I had Cinnamon and Raisin french toast and oh my god. It was amazing, I don’t ever remember having french toast before and I wanted to try it and it was delicious! Too bad I don’t have a picture to show you but take my word, it was great.
We milled around the hotel for a few hours, until after lunch, we drove to ‘Bronté Creek’ which was a park. The weather was lovely and sunny and we enjoyed sitting in the park, swinging on swings (no one is ever to old to have fun on swings) and walking. As we drove away we saw a Kyote! still not quite a moose but it was still pretty cool! We drove to the ‘Mandarin’ to meet Jerry and Helen and Orlaith and Paolo (Cousin and Cousin’s husband) for dinner. We went in and oh my god, the day just got a little better! It was a Chinese restaruant ( yes) and Buffet! (oh yes!) and had over 150 dishes! (someone hold me!). The food was AMAZING! the variety was great, there was something for everyone, even if you don’t like Chinese food (you’re crazy)there was something there for you. Not only was there Chinese food, there was a large selection of European Food and the choice for desserts were phenomenal. honestly this restaurant was great.
Where has this been all my life?
We were thoroughly stuffed after the meal and slowly made our way back to the hotel to get ready for the evening. As it was Easter Sunday we went to Jerry and Helen’s church for evening mass. The service was 3 hours long but the time seemed to go faster. The sermon wasn’t boring and the readings were very well read and clear. There were candles in the Catherdral and we each held a candel which gave a beautful warm glow. I thought it was going to be cold in the catherdral but it wasn’t at all. Tip: Ladies don’t ever wear tights under your jeans, it is the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE experience ever!
We didn’t get back to the hotel till quite late so I was out like a light.
