Stevie and I don’t normally go up to London but when we do, we like to make the most out of our trips! Today was so lovely! We went up on the train at around 11 and went into the V&A. We saw the exhibition ‘Fashion Through Time’ which I really enjoyed. We did it backwards by accident but it was interesting to see how trends more than 50 years ago are coming back now.
We went into ‘Photographs’ where many different photographers work were on show, my favourite one was 4 pictures of landscapes from different countries but they each had the same horizon. I liked this one as I interpreted it as how we are all equal, no matter where we are in the world.
There were also exhibitions of different cultures: China, India, Middle East and Korea. This too was fascinating, there were an array of different things from doors to serving bowls. It was all amazing, I really enjoyed looking at the different architecture and design from different cultures.
The weather was so beautiful outside so we decided to walk to Hyde Park, which wasn’t too far. However we both got pretty hungry on the way and decided to stop and decide where we wanted to have lunch. There are no restaurants close to Hyde Park so we had to walk a little way to get to the main street with different shops and cafés.
We decided ‘Wasabi’ because you can never go wrong with Japanese food!
Soon after, we walk around the lake and went on the pedalos! It was great fun, thanks to Stevie’s peddalling we actually got to the far end of the lake. Sadly my legs were not so powerful as the pedals were a bit far…
We sat in Hyde Park for a while, wandering around to see any cheap ice-cream but all the food stalls in Hyde Park are pretty expensive.
There was a bit of a debate whether or not to go and see ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ but un(fortunatly) we didn’t make it and instead ended up sitting on a wall and chatting about anything and everything.
Around 7 we made our way back to Central to get something to eat. I was feeling a little ill but the food was still great. We went to ‘Chiquito ‘.
After dinner, we went to LV which is an arcade and played some Street Fighter, pool and air hockey. I don’t enjoy losing so this was probably my least faveourite part of the day (if I had to choose one!)
I love London as there is always something to do. Today was so great as we kinda winged it and we did something different.
Have you been anywhere interesting lately?
